About The Role We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced social worker who is ready to take their next career step and becoming an Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join our Dedicated Social Work Team at Feltham Young Offenders Institute. About The Team You’ll Be Working In The Dedicated Social Work Team, based at Feltham Young Offenders Institute, is a small team consisting of three social workers who offer independent support to young people in the establishment and safeguarding advice. The team is passionate about advocating for young people with a strong focus on multi-agency collaboration to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the young people is promoted. As the Advanced Practitioner you will supervise the two social workers. About You – You will have an enthusiasm and passion for working with young people, some of which is likely to be from working with young people who have offended, were at risk of offending, and/or were care experienced. – You will have undertaken statutory social work and have a good understanding of safeguarding children from harm. – You are likely to have some supervision experience through students and/or have a good understanding of how to support and manage social workers.
