Biography – Catherine Bennett

Biography

Catherine began her career in youth justice in 2003. She has held a range of positions, including roles in restorative practice, the secure estate, team management, and various project roles.

In 2018, Catherine was appointed as Gangs and County Lines Manager for Suffolk, a partnership position that involved working collaboratively with numerous agencies and services to raise awareness, disrupt exploitation activities, and ensure effective safeguarding measures for children and vulnerable individuals.

In 2020, she transitioned to the YJB County Lines Pathfinder role, concentrating on direct interventions for children experiencing exploitation.

Subsequently, Catherine assumed the role of Deputy Head of the Suffolk Youth Justice Service and has recently been promoted to Head of Service.
