Biography

Kathy Gill has been the Service Manager for the Youth Justice Service on the Wirral since 2016. She has been with Wirral Youth Justice Service for over 20 years after starting as a Volunteer Mentor back in 2000. She became a Case Manager in 2004 and has held numerous other roles including Restorative Justice Co-Ordinator and Team Manager.

Working in all areas and teams with the YJS has given her a great insight into the operational pressures that case managers face.

She has a particular interest in Early Help and Prevention, supporting young people and families at the earliest point so they do not enter the criminal justice system. The focus on Child First, Offender Second is extremely important to her.

She is also an advocate for Trauma Informed Practice looking beyond behaviours and address unmet needs.
