Youth Justice SEND Quality Award

Together with partners in the field of SEND, the AYM has developed a quality award for practice with children in the youth justice system with special educational needs and disability (SEND). The Youth Justice SEND Quality Mark, offered in partnership with Microlink PC, recognises consistently high levels of practice with children with SEND.

In addition to this, the Youth Justice SEND Quality Lead is awarded to those YOTs who provide evidence and case studies of improved outcomes for children in their local area through effective partnership working.

The standards for the award were developed with the support of the Department of Education and the YJB and with input from academics and practitioners, and is valid for three years.
